Obituary For William Douglas Philpot

William D. Philpot age 69 of Okeana passed away on Sunday August 25, 2019. He was born on February 14, 1950 in Connersville, IN the son of the late Kenneth and Ruby (nee Rose) Philpot. William was a 1968 graduate of Triton Central High School in Indiana and earned his master’s degree from Ball State University. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In 1972 he married the love of his life Brenda Dearinger. He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years Brenda Philpot; two daughters Rachel (Dan) Dattilo and Carrie Simmermon; five grandchildren Doug Simmermon, Juliana Simmermon, Brian Simmermon, Katiann Simmermon, and Isabella Simmermon; one brother Donald (Cindy) Philpot; three sisters Pam (Danny) Robinson, Brenda Moody, and Kim Lohman. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends as well as his best buddies, his dogs Augie, Bunkie and Lulu Rose. He was also preceded in death by one brother Daniel Philpot and one sister Debbie Burgdoerfer. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Nice to hear from you and thanks for the reply to my email.I was saddened to hear of William's passing. He will be greatly missed by all association members especially our members from Alpha Company 1st Recon Battalion January 1968 through January 1970. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
