PFC Southall 1st Patrol 120 hours in Antenna Valley.

Members of PFC Jim Southall's 1st patrol were:

2nd Lieutenant J.J. Barta, worked with Jim Southall on four patrols. Patrols 1, 5, 11 & 12 JJ Barta was WIA on a patrol in Mortar Valley February 1st, 1968. Corporal Michael G Murdock was killed on this patrol. Patrol Report #65-68. James J "Jim" Barta was with (BRAVO COMPANY 10/67-11/68 LTCOL RET. USMC)

LCpl Stephen Walter "STEVE" Bruch, only worked this one time with Jim Southall.  Steve passed away after a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer on Father's Day, June 17, 2012, in the loving arms of his family. 

PFC Jeffery Scott Patterson will work with Jim Southall three more times on patrols before he was killed on hill 200 on June 3rd, 1968. Click Here

PFC  J.P. Martin will work with Jim one more time on patrol.

LCpl J.A. Martin will work with Jim one more time on patrol.

PFC B.E. Oiler will work with Jim two more times on patrols.

LCpl J. Hernandez will appear on one more patrol report with Jim Southall.

LCpl J. Demeshko will appear on one more patrol in 1968.

LCpl R. Everhard will work on three more patrols in 1968 with Jim Southall.

Corpsman L.A. Ellis only worked this one time with Jim Southall before being wounded on his Gunsmoke patrol in Elephant Valley February 21st, 1968. Private Bartoloma A Baldera was killed on this patrol. Patrol Report #82-68.

PFC  A. Gonzalez will work with Jim Southall on two patrols before being wounded on Hill 200 June 3rd, 1968. He made a recovery and worked on Jim's 29th patrol on Hill 200 February-March of 1969.

PFC  R. Hargrave worked with Jim on two more patrols in 1968.
