Amongst the members of Lance corporal Jim Southall's 14th patrol were:

 

Cpl Jimmy Linn, will appear on ten patrol reports with Jim Southall. Corporal Jimmy Linn was the patrol leader on of the patrols. Patrols 14-18 & 21-25 was one of the best Patrol Leaders in 1st Recon Battalion. Corporal Linn was my 1st Patrol Leader patrol #22 report #500-68.  Jimmy was on a 6 month extension. He had already did a year with 1st Force Recon. He passed away in 1997 from Agent Orange related Diabetes. "I am alive today because of him" Doug Wolfe.

PFC Doug Wolfe will work with Jim Southall eleven times in 1968. Patrols 13-19, 24-27 before Jim Southall was wounded in action (WIA) on his 28th patrol. Doug Wolfe worked as a point man on most of the patrols.

PFC Armstrong, will work with Jim Southall five times. Patrols 14-15 & 21-23.

PFC Nelson Livington, will work with Jim Southall thirteen times in 1968. Patrols 14-19 & 21-27 Nelson was the primary radio operator on most of the patrols.
