Cpl Peavy Patrol on Hill 425, 124 hours with 20 sightings of an estimated 599 VC , 17 fire missions and 1 airstrike called.

Members of Corporal Grover W Peavy, patrol were:

SSgt Phil Hampton, this is one of five times they will work together on a Recon patrols. SSgt Hampton will be WIA June 3rd, 1968 on hill 200 and he will recover and return to Bravo Company in September of 68 to work on more patrols. See patrols 47, 60, 81, 98, 304, 332, 359, 692, 730, 767, 811, 837 & 958-68. SSgt Hampton is one of the best patrol leaders Corporal Peavy will have in the 1st Recon Battalion in Vietnam. Click here

SSgt Liu, this is the only time they worked together on patrol.

Sgt Kepler, this is the only time they worked together on patrol.

PFC Briggs, this is the only time they worked together on patrol before he is wounded in action (WIA) on hill 200 and sent home.

PFC Terrance E Edgar, this is one of four times they worked together on patrols before being killed on hill 200 on June 3rd, 1968.

PFC Gerold Jerome McAdams, will appear on five patrol reports with Corporal Peavy before being killed on hill 200 on June 3rd, 1968.

Corpsman Earl R. Lerch, this is the first patrol he worked together with Cpl Grover W Peavy. They will work on four patrols togther. They become best friends in the short time they worked together on patrols. Corpsman Lerch was killed in action on that shithole June 3rd, 1968. Corporal Peavy was part of the rescue unit dispatched  to hill 200 that day in Vietnam. HM3 Lerch was badly wounded and transported. He died later that day from his wounds. Corporal Grover W Peavy would never be the same after that day and change the course of his life.

LCpl Demeshko, PFC Martin, LCpl Hoy, LCpl Pisano and LCpl Hensley,  only time they worked with Corporal Peavy on patrol. 

PFC Oiler and PFC Nolen, worked with Cpl Grover W Peavy on four patrols in 1st Recon Battalion.

LCpl Vollett, worked with Cpl Peavy on five patrols in 1968 before Cpl Grover Wayne Peavy leaving Bravo Company in June of 1968.
